Progressive Stamping and Fabrication is a manufacturer of metal products. We have metal stamping presses, press brakes, CNC Punch, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, an Amada laser, and a full machine shop, lathe’s, mills, saws, grinders, etc.

If you do not like getting dirty, this may not be the position for you. This position requires you to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on some oily, dirty, machines.

If you are tired of school and learning, this may not be the right fit for you. This position requires you to learn each piece of equipment, how they work, and how they operate, so you can correctly maintain them, as well as troubleshoot and repair them. There will also be class room education, webinars, and seminars, that will further your knowledge of Lean manufacturing, preventive, and predictive maintenance, TPM, Inspection 2.0. Machine lubrication, oil analysis, Forklift maintenance, Press operation training, etc.

Also, if you are not punctual, on time, all the time, you need not apply!

SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment; by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitors and examines parts, machinery, equipment including forklifts and delivery truck on a daily basis as part of preventative maintenance program.
  • Installs resources necessary for the operation of new equipment and connects equipment to resources to assure its proper operation as required.
  • Observes and examines mechanical devices and/or components in operation to locate causes of malfunction and/or failure.
  • Performs “Lockout” and “Tagout” duties before examining and/or repairing parts, machines, and equipment to prevent harm to self and others.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective/malfunctioning parts.
  • Modifies, replaces, installs, and/or constructs machines and equipment as required to assure manufacture specifications and safe operation is maintained.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Diagnosis and replaces faulty mechanical. hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Recommends processes/equipment/parts necessary to correct/repair defective/malfunctioning equipment.
  • Repairs and/or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts in accordance with maintenance/repair tickets.
  • Observes and follows Company, State and Federal Regulatory Requirements.
  • Monitors facility/equipment to assure compliance with Local/State/Federal Regulatory Requirements are maintained.
  • Performs clean up of any chemicals/liquids/materials as necessary.
  • Starts devices to test their performance
  • Operates metalworking tools, including welding equipment to make and/or repair parts.
  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Operates Forklift
  • Tracks and documents maintenance/repairs in the JobBOSS Maintenance Tool/Equipment Software.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices in assigned work area.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and trade school degree or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.




Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with structured and semi-structured problems.





Knowledge and/or skills in electrical, electronic, pneumatics/hydraulics, welding, automotive, electromechanical and mechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair techniques and procedures, the proper use of tools and equipment used in repair and maintenance, and safety precautions of the trade preferred.  Knowledge of standard industrial safety procedures, including applicable regulatory requirements preferred.
